Flight: Wrong-way Winds (+0
Miles)
Operation Migration's Liz Condie sent the news: "The winds would be great if we wanted to go to North Dakota — in a hurry." That's NOT what they want, so they're standing down. Meantime, is ready for the young cranes. The ground crew already traveled ahead and set up the team's second travel pen at the next stopover site. Click on the photo above to see how they did it. NOTE: The October 21 flight distance was adjusted to be 19 miles; the total journey on the new 2008 route is an estimated 1285 miles.
