In a hard-earned show of unity and ace flying by all eight cranes, they progressed 28 miles to Columbia County, Wisconsin on October 17. Flight attempts for the past four days, however, have been quelled by autumn rain, winds, or fog. Pumpkin play in the pens is their routine when grounded.
