Two Flights, 144-Mile Gain (Total Gone: 289 Miles)

Weekly Updates

The cranes and planes arrived safely in Livingston County on Nov. 7 and in Piatt County on Nov 8. All eight cranes stuck with the pilot on both days, winging their way 2,500 feet or more above Illinois' flat, green landscape. Chances of flying two stops on Nov. 7 were dashed as the morning's tailwind swung around into a head wind, but we can still hope for several "twofers" ahead to make up for lost time. Check out bio pages, updated each each day they fly, and see daily updates at Operation Migration. Enjoy live action on the crane cam until our next weekly summary on Nov. 18.
