Fall Migration Departure

Weekly Updates

The 2014 southward aircraft-guided Whooping crane migration is underway! The first stop is a short, 5-mile hop, allowing the team to get the young cranes into unfamiliar territory. Strange surroundings usually make the young cranes more dedicated to the aircraft. See live action on Operation Migration's crane cam and flight cam channels and daily updates at Operation Migration. Journey South's weekly reports start Monday, October 13. Go cranes!
