Craniac
PenPals in Kentucky Send Gifts
to students at Harriet Todd PS, Orillia, ON, Canada
|
Mrs. Black's students in Canada opened
a terrific package from their pen pals in Mrs.
Trout's class at John
F. Kennedy Montessori School in Louisville, KY. The Kentucky
students sent great Louisville brochures to show the Ontario
students where they live.
|
|
They sent photos taken by Mrs. Trout's husband
the Indiana flyover event. The students in Canada looked at
them on their classroom computer. |
|
They
even sent a DVD of the cranes' Indiana flyover event, and
the visit
to Mrs. Trout's classroom by some of the migration team.
Louisville, Kentucky is near one of the stopovers on the
migration route. Mrs. Trout and her class started the idea
of writing letters
to ExxonMobil to raise money to help pay for the migration!
Many other classrooms, including Mrs. Black's, have followed
their wonderful example. |
