The eagles used in our migration research are gently captured. The wild birds are fitted with satellite transformer that is worn like your school backpack. Afterwards, the birds are released to continue with their everyday activities. But, thanks to the wonder of satellite telemetry, for the next few years we can "watch" their every move!
