Peter Nye Introduces Golden Eagle R24

It is always a thrill for us to have the opportunity to capture a Golden eagle to learn a little bit more about these eagles' migratory movements and origins. I think we have captured and tracked ~ 6 Golden eagles over the years throught the NY DEC.
Technology and Golden Eagles: Potential Problems
There is new
interest and concern about golden eagle migration in terms of wind-power
developments. How will the eagles adapt to the potential effect
of numerous turbines that extend upward from the landscape?
Studies are underway to attempt to better understand exactly what routes Golden eagles use as they move along their migration paths, and, more precisely how they move in relation to topographic features such as ridges, height of flight over the landscape, etc.
