Visiting a Cemetary on Dia de los Muertos

For days leading up to Dia de Los Muertos, people are seen in the streets on their way to the cemetery.

At the gate, children sell buckets of water they have carried here. The water is used for cleaning the graves.

Special flower stands sell "zempasuchl" (marigolds), the orange flowers used to decorate the graves of their loved ones.

The cemetery is full of life, with people of all ages visiting the dead.

The mood is quiet and respectful, but people are rarely seen crying.
