The Monarch Butterfly Tourism Season Opens
and Mexico's President Announces Conservation Plan

The offical opening of the monarch butterfly tourist season took place on Sunday, November 25. This year, Mexico's President Calderón made a surprise visit. He announced a $4.6 million dollar conservation plan to help protect the monarch's forest.
