Gather library resources and examine O'Keeffe's paintings.

Brainstorm details you notice.
-Do her paintings create an emotion?
-What do her colors and shapes remind you of?
-How does she use focus in her art?

Select a flower to draw.
- Fill an 9x11 sheet of white paper with a big, detailed
pencil drawing of your object. Then use a frame to choose a part of your art that contains interesting lines.

Place a paper frame over an area on your completed drawing that With
a pencil, outline the frame.
- Study the lines, shapes, and colors within the frame.
- Reproduce the small window
of details onto a large sheet of paper with pencils and crayons.
