Seventh
graders in Shakopee, Minnesota, are gathering climate data throughout
the year. Will the wet weather that delayed planting
this October affect emergence next spring? On planting
day, October 29, the students recorded 11 hours and 49 minutes of daylight.

| Second graders in Fort Wayne, Indiana, started their tulip test garden project with a question. "When will our tulips grow?" they wondered. "Before we could make good predictions we needed to do some research," shared Math/Science specialist Christine Michael. Check out the creative charts and timelines the students created as they learned about seasons and predicted spring's arrival.
