Highlights: Emerging in Alaska
More than half of the Test Gardens that bloomed this week were in Vermont and New Hampshire. Warmer weather in the Northeast states gave a big push to all green and growing signs of spring.

"After a long and cold winter, we were excited to see the tulips bloom. Spring was actually just a week later than in the past, despite the cold winter."

The news from Anchorage, Alaska is the tulips are up. We will wait to see if more tulips emerge.

"We planted 23 bulbs and have only two tulips emerging from the soil." 05/03/15 Anchorage, Alaska 61°N

On the northern prairie's spring snows don't keep Test Garden from blooming!

"We had a snowstorm on April 26th and we received approximately 20 cm of snow. After that it melted within days and our tulips bloomed."
