As of today we have 156 Test Gardens emerged. What will happen if it snows on the tulip plants, gardeners are wondering. Will they die? In Maryland, students added a hashtag to their report; #savethebulbs!

  • Colorado: "We are having a warm couple of weeks. Two tulip plants have emerged. Very exciting!"

  • Maryland: "Our tulips have emerged. They are 2.5 inches. It snowed last night and we hope the tulips are okay." Bowie 03/04/16

  • Utah: "They've been covered with a huge mound of snow shoveled from the sidewalks but that has all melted away and we can see they've all survived! Yea!" Payson 03/04/16
