Mystery Class #1

"At our multi-river city, tourists get a peek at this gorge-eous view, which is best seen when suspended on chairs or on a bridge. Our city is one of the oldest in the whole country, but it is neither the state capital nor the largest city in our state."

"Polar and Popular! So many people live in our city that we're said to be one of the more populated communities inside the circle. Not too long ago, the number of people here grew for a few weeks when thousands of international visitors came here to sit, think, and get their hands on royalty, clergy, rooks, and pawns."

Mystery Class #3

"Wow, talk about awesome! Our city rose from the flames of war like a phoenix, and busy pilots know us well. A pharmacist who invented a famous sugary syrup drink, a world news organization, a major sci-fi & comics gathering, a monster-sized 10K, a continental watershed line, and several centers to honor prized leaders for peace -- they're all found here."

Mystery Class #4

"Whether we're truly on the bank of a river, the shore of a lake, or the end of a lagoon, there's no question that our city is a large, bustling, joyful, and international freshwater harbor. Our city was settled by a somewhat small number of couples from a group of Atlantic islands, and those couples are honored by this public sculpture in our city."

Mystery Class #5

"Our city is long recognized for the winged green beast above our castle, and it is now also recognized as the capital that is most green in the entire Union. Are you green with envy yet?"

Mystery Class #6

"Some people are said to have eyes on the back of their heads, but how about this? Our city is rich in monuments and other landmarks befitting a capital, like this monument with a face for each direction. But the true meaning of our city has always been about a market in the north."

"In our city you might see someone walking a dog like this, whose breed name sounds similar to our city's name. Imagine walking the dog to a special park here, and sitting on a bench next to a beatle!"

Mystery Class #8

"'Cheerio!' Although we claim to be British, our location is named after a French politician -- 'Oui, Oui!' Every summer, a team of four operate this site and its museum. If you visit, you'll see hundreds of the official pelagic postmasters. And you'll certainly want to mail a postcard to your friends -- but delivery can take several weeks, as there's no express service from here."

Mystery Class #9

"Our city is located near the bay which shares the our city name, and it is the capital of our province. In a hurry? By catching the bullet train from here, you can be in Shanghai in about an hour. A beautiful lake and outdoor area here is recognized as a world heritage site."
