May Brings Blooms
Tulips are blooming throughout North America, though some Journey North gardeners in northern locations are still awaiting first blooms. There are two weeks left to report results from your Tulip Test Gardens.
Tulips Blooming
More reports of Tulip Test Gardens are coming in from across the continent as spring progresses.
Josh in Afton, MN: "Tulips bloomed at Belwin today!! Part of the SPPS cohort of 23 schools planting 1,400 tulips with over 1,000 students this year!. . ." (05/01/2023)
Amy in Minnetonka, MN: "Our red and yellow tulips bloomed the first week of May!" (05/09/2023)
Two Weeks Left to Report Tulips
Only two more weeks to report your Tulip Test Garden emergence and bloom dates. Tulip news updates end on May 25. If you planted a Tulip Test Garden last fall, please remember to submit your tulip reports from this spring!
Are you observing hummingbirds, monarchs, or songbirds such as orioles? You can participate in these and a number of other Journey North projects throughout the rest of spring and early summer. Please keep sharing your other observations with Journey North as well.
