Today we just confirmed that the monarch numbers areincreasing from one day to the next.
The first arrived yesterday, November 6th. Today, we again drove towards El Cerrito. On the way we asked some children living around the area whether they had seen monarchs arriving.
"Yes, they are already arriving since yesterday. They suddenly jumped up from over there," they said pointing to the north. "However, you will only see them when it is sunny; right now you might be not that lucky, since it is getting cloudy."
We continued our way to El Cerrito and found a few hundred monarchs clustering there. This is where they make their last halt just before going up the mountain to the sanctuaries where they'll stay with us for the next four and a half months.
Wait for news about our visit to El Rosario Sanctuary on Sunday to confirm their arrival there!
