Part
of your contributions will help fund the MBF's reforestation work.
Pine seedlings are provided to local people (at no cost to them)
to reforest important lands that surround the Monarch Butterfly
Biosphere Reserve (MBBR). Much of this land's trees have been cut
to make room for agriculture, or harvested to be used by the local
population.
Pine
seedlings grow quickly into trees in this region. The trees will
provide sustainable wood-lots for the local people, which may reduce
timber cutting in the MBBR. |
