Celebrate! Seeing RED in La Jolla, CA

Were you wondering where we would see the first BLOOMING tulip garden? Wonder no more. It's happened!

"Hello from La Jolla where the tulips are in full bloom!! Today we returned to school to find our gardens full of beautiful red tulips. They are at varying heights, but almost all are flowering!! Very exciting." -Cathy Isom, Science Teacher, Torrey Pines Elementary (02/21/07)

  • Brainstorm a list of reasons why these gardeners haven't reported their tulips emerging.
  • Why is it important to ask questions about each week's map?
