Highlights: Time for May Flowers |
Gardeners across North America are celebrating their emerging and blooming Test gardens. Meanwhile, we're watching and waiting for our northern gardens in Alaska, Quebec, and Zelenograd to show some green.
Blooming Gardens
Chilly, and rainy are words used to describe the weather in the New England and Great Lakes states this spring.
But, April showers are over and it's time for May flowers.
"Our tulips bloomed over the weekend! Now they are closed because it's been very cold!!! It even snowed yesterday!" 04/23/15 Middlebury, Indiana 41.6°N
"The buds began to form about a week ago and then we had cold weather hit. Today the sun is out and it's warmer and they popped open."
04/24/15 Ortonville, Michigan 43°N
"On April 23, 2015 we had three tulips blooming in our garden. Since then we have had a few more bloom each day but the weather has been very chilly."
Osterville, Massachusetts 41.6°N
Still Waiting...
We're still waiting for gardens to emerge and bloom. Watch the map while we cheer on these gardeners!
