The Mystery Locations: What Do You Know So Far (or Not)?

From the photoperiod data and your graphs, what do you know so far about the Mystery Classes' global addresses? What don't you know? What have you discovered about their longitude?

Try the questions in this week's Journal Page Week #5 above to explore what you really know so far.

Finding Longitude: It's About Time

To discover the longitude of the Mystery Classes, you'll first need to understand some important things about time:

Journaling: What's Happening Around the Globe "Right Now"?

Write a "Right Now" story in your Investigation Journal:

  • Quick! Snap your fingers and look at a clock. Write what the time of day is in local time and Universal Time.

  • Then, write what is happening at different places around the Earth at that same moment.

You choose the places, but try to include ones in at least twelve different time zones; and be sure to include what the local time was at each place when your finger snapped.
