Highlights: Filling in the Map!
Another 164 Rubythroat sightings this week! Compare this week’s map with the distribution map. Has the migration reached its northern limit? Count the sightings in Saskatchewan, then look westward – can you see the sighting in Slave Lake Alberta? How far have these ruby-throated birds traveled to reach this Canadian breeding ground?

Rufous hummers are advancing eastward, feeding in Riverton, WY on Mother’s Day fuscia flowers. Hummingbird watchers in Alaska are preparing their feeders as the first of the hummers reaches 60N latitude. When will they reach 61N latitude? Watch our live map for the latest reports.

Don't forget to read what some keen-eyed observers shared in this week's Hummingbird Action reports! >> Then, come back next week for another short update, and keep looking and listening for hummers near you!

Teachers: The migration is wrapping up in the next few weeks!
